The fifth show of the Cirque du Soleil Tribute Series will pay tribute to the famous Quebec band, critically acclaimed and loved by the public, the Cowboys Fringants, who have rocked the French-speaking world for two decades.  This show, will be created and produced by Cirque du Soleil EVENTS+ EXPERIENCES , Cirque du Soleil's events and special projects division.

Synopsis

In the heart of a sleepy riverside suburb, as the first Fall coloured glow emerges, a young girl escapes into her fantasy world, carried by the resonant lyrics of the Cowboys Fringants. Prisoner of a world surrounded by small houses of all sizes, she dangles freely on a swing suspended from the beams of an old dock on the banks of the river.

In this soothing place, reality is transformed according to her imagination, concerns and ambitions. Lucid and dreamy, she remakes the world scene by scene, one story at a time, gently building a universe where nature takes back its due and where reality is not quite true. The houses float on the water and twirl between heaven and earth. The trees are made of papier mâché and people are dressed in paper.

Marked by the poetry, passion and humour of the Cowboys Fringants, this hidden imaginary will become reality.
