Surrounded by music since childhood, she has always been comfortable with writing and performing. After the Big Boy and Main Girl EPs, Charlotte became an international phenomenon with her debut album Phoenix, released in 2021. At the 2022 JUNO Awards, the album won Album of the Year and Pop Album of the Year. In addition to having her song Meaningless named "Song of the Year", Charlotte was awarded the prestigious Artist of the Year award. These awards are in addition to the Félix for English album of the year. To unanimous applause, HYPEBAE called her "one of Canada's brightest young talents". After sold-out headlining shows and strong performances at Bonnaroo and the Quebec City Summer Festival, she headlined Osheaga, marking her return to Montreal.
Like sculpting a statue, we peel off one layer after another to discover our true selves. In doing so, we strip away our insecurities and inhibitions to fully embrace our identity. Charlotte Cardin continues to learn about herself through her music. The more she learns, the more she touches who she is. The Montreal-born, Paris-based singer, songwriter and creator exhales raw truths in a haze of nocturnal production, putting pieces of her story on tape. After generating hundreds of millions of streams and garnering praise from Harper's BAZAAR, The FADER, Interview, W Magazine and more, the four-time JUNO Award winner opens up like never before on her second full-length album, 99 Nights [Cult Nation/Atlantic Records].
99 Nights will have helped Charlotte understand who she was meant to be.
