Driven by an impressive cast including Maude Cyr-Deschênes (Évangéline), Olivier Dion (Gabriel), Matthieu Lévesque (Baptiste), Nathalie Simard (Sister Marguerite), Laurent Lucas (Father Félix), Océane Kitura Bohémier-Tootoo (Hanoah), and Raphaël Butler (Beausoleil), Évangéline | The Musical is a sweeping musical fresco that tells the heart-wrenching story of two legendary lovers, Évangéline and Gabriel, separated during the Great Expulsion of 1755.
Directed and staged by Jean-Jacques Pillet, with a libretto co-written by Caroline Cloutier, this show celebrates eternal love, stronger than war and betrayal, and Acadian identity. This original creation stands out with its cinematic, poetic, and contemporary aesthetic, filled with epic scenes and a spectacular stage design featuring scenic spaces as unexpected as they are impressive.
