Trois-Rivières, October 28, 2026 – The Cabaret at Amphithéâtre Cogeco continues to unveil its upcoming indoor concert lineup with two musical experiences offering distinctly different sounds in February and March 2027. Welcome soleil – A Tribute to Jim and Bertrand will bring back the iconic songs of the celebrated Québec folk duo, while Maggots – The Unholy Classics will turn up the intensity with the greatest hits of Slipknot. Two shows that promise to get audiences moving, from folk nostalgia to the raw energy of metal.
Welcome soleil – A Tribute to Jim and Bertrand • February 25, 2027
Three passionate musicians, Christian Proulx, Dany Lamoureux and Yoric Farley, join their voices to pay tribute to Jim Corcoran and Bertrand Gosselin, two influential figures in Québec music during the 1970s.
With their guitars, mandolin and rich vocal harmonies, they bring classics such as Welcome soleil, La tête en gigue, La belle des champs and La fille du capitaine back to life. Beyond the nostalgia, the trio takes on the challenge of recreating the rich harmonies and arrangements that defined Jim and Bertrand’s signature sound in a warm, heartfelt performance filled with musical chemistry and emotion.
Maggots – The Unholy Classics • March 27, 2027
Hailing from Montréal, Maggots pays tribute to Slipknot, one of the most influential bands in American metal, with a no-holds-barred performance. Formed in 2017, the group brings together musicians from Montréal’s metal scene who recreate Slipknot’s explosive sound and rebellious spirit, complete with the band’s biggest hits, razor-sharp riffs, thunderous percussion and iconic masks.
Opening the show, Québec-based Projekt Revolution will get the crowd fired up with an electrifying tribute to Linkin Park and their greatest hits. With catchy melodies, explosive rhythms and anthemic choruses, the opening act will set the stage for an evening where nostalgia meets raw energy at the Cabaret at Amphithéâtre Cogeco!
